On March 6, 2010, over 60 neighborhood, district merchant, civic, environmental, transit advocacy and social justice organizaions sponsored a Save Muni Summit. The event was a huge success. During the meeting many important ways of improving Muni were proposed and discussed.
In preparation for the Summit, SaveMuni.com compiled a List of Solutions for improving Muni, generally under the following general categories:
o Improving Muni Metro
o Improving the Existing Bus Lines
o Expediting Muni Service on Crowded Streets
o Making it Easier and More Comfortable to Ride Muni
o Maintaining and Improving Muni Vehicles
o Finding the Needed Funds
o Making the Necessary Changes
During the Summit a number of additional improvement proposals were presented and discussed. For a summary of these additional ideas go to Report to Registrants (more solutions).
